District Swabi Circle KSK* Dated: 23/04/2024 Upon the direction of District Director Agriculture Extension Swabi Dr. Amir khatam, Agriculture officer Akmal Hassan, AO khayam Raza & AO Sheraz khan along with FA fayaz hussain, FA tahir ali & AS M. Zahir, arranged group meeting with progressive farmers at KSK Circle. Discussion were held about tobacco crops, its production. Also discussed its storage process and importance in market. The Farmers were also breifed about the ongoing activities of department and how they can get benifits through these schemes. Also Brief them about the ICT project and the benefits of the kissan card

*District Swabi* *KSK Circle* Dated: 18/04/2024 Upon the direction of worthy DDA Dr. Amir Khatam Khan, Agriculture Officer Akmal Hassan and AO Sheraz khan along with FA Muhammad Fayaz and FA Tahir ali, arranged a group meeting with progressive farmers of Union Council Chaknoda. Inspect the fruit plants like Mango, guava etc. Farmers were breifed about the ongoing activities of department and how they can get benifits through these schemes.

District Swabi Date 17/04/2024 Reich Meeting regarding seeds was held for ICT Agriculture Officers at Model Farm Services Center Swabi under the supervision of Deputy Director Agronomy and Extension M. Abbas Khan and Seed Analyst Akhlaq Khan for seed dealers in Swabi district. Discussions were held regarding conducting seed training as well as getting them licensed. Timely visits of SMP plots and briefing on target achievement was given. Informed the officers about the MIS system of FSCRD.

Recorded coordinates of farmers fields.

*District Swabi circle KSK* On the direction of District Director Agriculture Dr. Amir khatam khan and SMS pp Dr. Shad ali khan under ICT Agriculture transformation plan. Agriculture Officer Sheraz Khan and A.O Sher Shah Suri visited different pesticides, seeds & fertilizer shops. 1. To check their license. 2. Products rates. 3. Expiry date. 4. Give directions to the shop dealers to clean the shop. 5. Maintain proper fertilizer/pesticide/seeds record. 6. Also collected samples of pesticides for laboratory analysis to check their quality and ingredients. Furthermore, dealers were warned to stop further sale of Calcium Ammonium Nitrate CAN, otherwise, strict action may be taken against any kind of violation.

Extension Services in Agriculture
New technologies are developed through research for development in a sector but these technologies can only be fruitful if reached to the end users and / or applied accordingly. Agriculture is no exception to this rule. In order to transfer new technologies to the farming community, the extension services in public and private sector perform this basic task and component of development process.
Agricultural extension is recognized as a potent and critical force in the development process. It has been defined as "a service or system which assists farm people through educational procedures in improving farming methods and techniques, increasing production efficiency and income, bettering their levels of living, and lifting the social and educational standards of rural life." (Maunder, 1973).
